Copyright Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026 · Maintained by the Lumina team

This page is maintained by the Lumina team to explain how copyright works inside the app. It is informational, not legal advice, and is not an independent certification.

1. Ownership of the app

The Lumina application — including its name, logo (the 8-point star mark), interface design, source code, illustrations, copy, and AI-generated templates that ship with the product — is © 2026 Lumina. All rights reserved. Nothing on this site grants you any license to those assets except the right to use the App as a registered user.

2. Your content stays yours

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Lumina (meal logs, photos, voice notes, journal entries, community posts, generated plans). By submitting it, you grant Lumina a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, process, transmit and display that content for the sole purpose of operating and improving the App for you. We do not sell your content and we do not use it to train third-party foundation models.

3. Don't upload what isn't yours

Do not upload photos, text, logos, recipes, training programs, music, video, or any other material you do not own or have permission to use. This includes screenshots of paid programs, copyrighted images from the web, and other people's likenesses without their consent.

4. AI-generated output

Plans, summaries, recipes, and recommendations produced by the in-app AI are generated for your personal use. You may use them privately. Reselling AI output as a standalone product, or republishing it as your original work at scale, is not permitted.

5. Reporting infringement (takedown)

If you believe content hosted in Lumina (for example, a community post, a shared meal photo, or user-submitted text) infringes your copyright, send us a notice with:
  • Your full name and contact details.
  • A description of the copyrighted work you own.
  • The exact location inside Lumina where the infringing content appears.
  • A statement, made in good faith, that the use is not authorized by you, your agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.
Send notices through the in-app support option. We review every report and will remove or disable access to content that is reasonably shown to infringe.

6. Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice through the same support channel with your contact details, the content in question, and a good-faith statement that it was removed in error. We may restore the content if no further action is taken by the original claimant within a reasonable period.

7. Repeat infringers

Accounts that receive repeated, valid infringement notices will be suspended or terminated. We may also remove individual posts, photos, or generated content without notice when needed to comply with the law or this policy.

8. Trademarks

"Lumina", the Lumina wordmark, and the 8-point star logo are trademarks of the Lumina team. Do not use them to imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation without written permission.

9. Contact

All copyright questions and takedown notices should be sent through the in-app support option. We aim to respond within a reasonable time.
